That's INCREDIBLE! It must be so useful, in day-to-day, not having to use hands. My powers don't do the same thing, they're mostly perceiving emotions and strengths and things like that. Oh, I like those too. I always liked those things. A lot of my clothes at the manor have those embroidered on. Not by me, I'm bad at embroidery. Anything artistic, I'm awful.

No, they awoke this last November. In my world anyone has the potential to get these powers, but it usually takes time and practice (or a very serious, traumatic event) to get there. I'm awful. I grew up in a girl's school and I was always getting lectured for my bad embroidery or awful patching jobs. I can mend some things now, but they aren't pretty. I mostly learned by sewing sails or giving myself stitches.

Thank you. I don't quite understand how it all works, but it's definitely fascinating. I did, back on the ship - I was on a pirate ship for two years. The captain didn't like me very much.

It depends how you define that. I was rescued. Set free. However you want to put it. I try not to think about it.

I was too much of a coward. She carried this big mace around all the time, and she'd use it if I tried to stand up to her. She decided everything. When I ate, when I slept, what I wore, what I did. And I was just too scared to ever say "no".

Do you think so? She never seemed afraid. A lot of yelling and swinging her mace around, but not a lot of fear. Less than I was. I'm working on it.

those types are the most afraid! they are so captivated by power the thought of losing it makes them scary
