the part of koby that's idealistic and hopeful and determined believes in this future with all his heart, so fervently that if it were possible to make it so through force of will, it would already be. the jaded, sadder, more pessimistic part of him is there too, though, thinking of a future where all this disappears -- tries to imagine whether it'd be worth the torment of remembering all he'd lost, when its no longer in reach.
