Ridiculous. Does that work on people, where you're from?
We have. A few times. I've had no complaints yet, from anyone. Except for maybe stamina, I guess.
Right. Speaking of the "feeling stuff" -- I try my best not to eavesdrop on people's emotions, but I check in on certain people every day, to make sure they're okay. You've been sort of tumultuous lately? Am I misinterpreting that?
I've had a lot of training. One on one attention with someone at Shanks's level goes a long way. It's still overwhelming sometimes, but I can be in crowds without much of an issue.
Well, I can't attest to that one way or another. I've no firsthand experience. I'm sure Tim's right, though.
[fuck. so much for trying to play off being fine.]
You know how it's been. The zombies - the back and forth, the new priest everyone was making eyes at...I'm alright.
Tim's worried about me. Maybe he's already told you, I don't know. I saw something before he started Lent, and now he wants to try and fix it. But it might not be safe, so I told him to forget about it.
Can't imagine what a kaleidoscope it is around here. But I'm glad you're getting used to it. And that you've got Shanks.
Yeah, yeah. You'd take his side if he said my balls were blue.
More. It's a haki thing, but I also don't really need the same recovery time as most of the people I'm sleeping with by nature of Well. Anatomy.
Right. Also you died, Hawk. And it's fairly consistent that after people die, they have things that linger. I'm the one who reads the entire network, remember? Alina's post, Emmrich's. Also do you genuinely believe just telling Tim to forget it is going to work? He's worried about you. I'M worried about you. Do you need help fixing whatever's going on?
Me too. I'm moving on to more practically effective things. Things I could use in a fight, if something like the zombies or werewolf happens again.
I wouldn't mind learning that part of it. I think Tim might kill me, though.
Look, I appreciate it - seriously. From you and Tim. But I'm not willing to risk anyone sticking their neck out for me over something that's...it's not that bad. I promise. And before you ask, if it gets worse...I'll think about it.
You're not keeping track of everyone's problems when they come back, are you? Though I guess not everyone is blabbing about it publicly.
What happened during the zombies - by the way? I heard a lot of folks lost their mojo. Until that green shit came around, anyway.
They're not. Just in case you thought this was my way of admitting something. But you can see my balls anyway. If you want.
I'm not saying it to be nice. I'm saying it because this place kills people, and I'm worried about you. Even if it isn't bad now, it's going to keep getting worse. Please, when it does, ask someone who can help. Who knows how to help.
Not particularly, no. I'm sort of blinded by this place -- when people die, I don't always feel it, and when they come back, I don't feel them until they're themselves again. So even if I tried to pry, I doubt I could discern what their problems are. They'd have to tell me.
I lost it, yes. It was terrible. I hadn't realized how used to it I was until it was gone.
[there's a loooong pause.]
Hawk, are you under the impression this entire conversation is because I want to see your balls?

Stamina? More or less?
Oh.

Well, I might ask for proof in THAT situation.
