I'm not really sure what we are, actually. I care about him not getting sliced to bits? And he's incredibly annoying towards me, but I think that's the way he is with everyone.

I think that means he likes you. He bit me, the first time we met.

I think that's part of what he likes about you, honestly. I don't think he'd like me nearly as much if I didn't talk back to him all the time.

back talk is a little different than being something he claims to hate and want to kill, isn't it?

It's definitely more extreme, but I think it all boils down to not letting him push you around. And he's either mostly talk, or the whole wanting-to-kill thing is...part of what he likes about you. I can't claim to understand his mind.

[Though really Hyunsu didn't think he was weird until he apparently became obsessed with him, but his standards may be skewed.]

how much i enjoy being around him depends on how he's acting.

It's the same with me. He can be very nice, when he wants to be. And then suddenly, he can be not so nice.

It's a little hard to keep up with.
