WEEKLY GOSSIP.

Young master Fitzmolloy has certainly engaged above his station -- perhaps it was arranged due a debt the Earl owes him. ⸻ He's no first mate, but he's certainly SOMETHING to the man -- then again, that entire family is remarkably close. ⸻ The Patroness of the Gilded Lily clears her schedule for him whenever he shows up -- she won't even do that for the King. ⸻ Same with the Princess Anora -- though the servants have remarked they can hear them bickering. The audacious boy. ⸻ Bears more than a passing resemblance to that poor girl who died in childbirth a few seasons ago, the one with the brutish husband. Perhaps a distant cousin?

ERSONALS.

DESPERATELY
SEEKING
SOMEONE.

Apply to the Secretary.

Fellow vampires to assist in his fledgling days.

Allies of his maker or his future in-laws -- he'll behave.

Unassuming humans to feed off of. A boy has to eat.

Hunters to antagonize (likely to his own detriment, oops).

Enemies of his allies -- if you've messed with Ani, Robin, Shanks &co or the Laughlins, he won't forgive it.

Avast, me proud beauty! Wanna know why my Roger is so Jolly?

once upon a time.

Two years ago, the freshly-debuted ward of a scheming spinster was married off to a moneyed, if not titled man at barely eighteen. The marriage lasted less than a year before the girl allegedly died in childbirth. Few remember the hollow-eyed, pink-haired young bride, who trailed along after her brutish husband in visible misery for barely a season. The truth: fleeing the nightmarish marriage (after striking a dark and sinister deal) and struggling to survive, the boy who would become Jakoby met a sympathetic vampire (Daniel Molloy) who turned him to save his life. Koby spent the next year in hiding at the Gilded Lily, watched over by Nico Robin and the other courtesans. In an effort to return the favor, Koby began keeping track of the pleasure house's frequent visitors, using the information to build alliances -- usually to benefit his maker's house or protect the Lily from enemies. Once he'd built up a solid web of connections, he decided he can do more by re-entering the ton society, so he sought out his childhood friend Nami's father who he vaguely remembered being in the royal navy. (spoiler: not anymore, but he gave Koby a position on the ship, which is good enough). That reconnection led to a (lavender) engagement to Nami's sister-in-law, Melissa, and becoming godfather to Duke Tim Laughlin's firstborn, which further legitimizes Koby's position in society.
