[ fine, he will go clean blood. It’ll take about an hour to do that, and then take a shower, and generally calm down. Because he trusts Koby, he does, he wouldn’t be a very good safe house if he didn’t, but it’s disturbing. Dangerous at best, and at worst, something insidious to chip away at his faith and all he thinks he knows about this place. Tim just needs a minute. ]

I burst into tears immediately, so that was how maturely I reacted.

People can leave here. Not because they choose to, they can just

But I'm here for a reason. Until I know what it is and see it through, I won't earn it.

[Koby wants to ask how Tim can believe that, whether he truly does deep down. But -- he already knows the answer. And even though they're ostensibly talking about Koby himself, about the home he's making here, the next question is about Tim alone:]

It's not all bad here. I'm not suffering any more than anyone else

and before you bring up Hawk, it would be the same back home

That doesn't make it BETTER.

Everyone suffers at some point. A little bit is important, I think. It teaches you empathy.
